My father’s uncle camped here … an uncle my father never got to see.
His uncle survived the war but died of TB in 1927.
He served in The 8th Royal Inniskilling Fusiliers. Captured 16th August 1917 during the Battle of Passchendaele (3rd Battle of Ypres) – wounded both legs.
